John M. Haley, M.D. is a native of Oak Cliff, raised and educated in Dallas, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Serving as a Naval Flight Surgeon during the Vietnam conflict, Dr. Haley completed his ophthalmological residency at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California and the University of California in San Francisco. , Dr. Haley has been practicing in Garland, Texas since 1976. He has served as Chief of Staff at Garland Community Hospital and served as an eye surgeon for the International Eye Foundation in Ethiopia.
Dr. Haley is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member at the Texas Ophthalmological Association and an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health and Science Center in Dallas.
