Dr. Keehn was raised in Southern California and the Washington D.C. area. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. from North Carolina State University. After college, he conducted two years of research at UCLA and went on to receive his M.D. degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He remained in New Orleans for his internship at Charity Hospital, and then completed his ophthalmology residency at University of Texas at Houston Herman Eye Center prior to starting private practice. He is board certified and has been in practice at Garland Eye Associates since 1991.
Dr. Keehn is an experienced cataract, Toric IOL, laser surgeon and is devoted to maximizing state-of-the-art technology to improve the vision and eye health of his patients. In addition, he manages a wide range of eye disorders - both medical and surgical - including diabetic eye disease, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, routine eye exams and contact lens fittings.
Dr. Keehn has served as clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, teaching resident physicians. He is a past president of the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology and is also a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Ophthalmological Association, Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Medical Association.
