John M. Haley, M.D. is a native of Oak Cliff, raised and educated in Dallas, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Serving as a Naval Flight Surgeon during the Vietnam conflict, Dr. Haley completed his ophthalmological residency at the Naval Hospital in Oakland, California and the University of California in San Francisco.

Voted one of the top doctors in the metroplex by "D" Magazine, Dr. Haley has been practicing in Garland, Texas since 1976. He served as Chief of Staff at Garland Community Hospital and served as an eye surgeon for the International Eye Foundation in Ethiopia.

Dr. Haley is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, former President and current member of the Texas Ophthalmological Association and a Full Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Health and Science Center in Dallas.

As an Ophthalmologist, Dr. Haley is devoted to maximizing state-of-the-art technology to improve the vision and eye health of his patients. He is an experienced cataract, Toric IOL, and laser surgeon, and is also dedicated to treating most medical eye disorders including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and inflammatory and infectious eye disease. In addition, he provides intravitreal injections and routine eye exams for contact lenses and glasses.
