Cody B. Hansen, M.D. is a native of the state of Wyoming. He graduated from Rock Springs High School and went on to earn a B.S. degree from Brigham Young University. During his time at BYU, he served a full-time, Spanish-speaking mission for the LDS Church in Southern California. He went on to complete medical school through the University of Washington WWAMI program as one of twenty Wyoming students in his class. Both his internship and ophthalmology training were completed at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Hansen is a member of the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Ophthalmological Association, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
As an Ophthalmologist, Dr. Hansen is devoted to maximizing state-of-the-art technology to improve the vision and eye health of his patients. He is an experienced cataract, Toric IOL, and laser surgeon, and is also dedicated to treating most medical eye disorders including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and inflammatory and infectious eye disease. In addition, he provides intravitreal injections and routine eye exams for contact lenses and glasses.
